He was captured at Winchester Virginia on June 15,1863 and confined at Ricmond, Virginia on June 23rd and 24th. Parolled at Lelilly Point, Virginia on July 23rd and reported to Camp Parole Maryland the following day.He had two blood children, Anna Louisa and Melvin. Two other children, one born almost a year after his death and the other before his marriage are believed to be the children of Thomas E. Lee, also of Company G.
